Account information: When you register for a free EonVPN account we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We use this information solely for account authentication and to send essential service communications. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties.
VPN usage data: EonVPN operates a strict zero-logs policy. We do not record your browsing history, the websites you visit, the content of your communications, your original IP address, the VPN server IP you connect to, or the duration of your sessions. This data is never written to our servers.
Bandwidth sharing: If you participate in our optional bandwidth-sharing programme, we collect anonymised network statistics (bytes transferred, connection timestamps) for billing and abuse prevention purposes. This data is stripped of all personally identifiable information and cannot be linked back to your account.
Cookies: Our website uses strictly necessary cookies for session management and security. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting VPN functionality.
Data retention: We retain your account email for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Third-party services: EonVPN does not share, sell or rent your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes. We may share anonymised, aggregated usage statistics with infrastructure providers solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
Changes to this policy: We will notify registered users by email of any material changes to this Privacy Policy at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of EonVPN after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
